SENIOR STRATEGIST

 
The Role:
The role of the Senior Strategist is to provide strategic leadership across all aspects of qualitative market research projects, including project setup, guide development, moderating, debrief writing, and client presentation through to project close. The Senior Strategist works to identify culturally fueled, profoundly rich, and deep human behavioral insights to drive strategic solutions.
Senior Strategists must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and able to verbalize their point of view is like working on a team and in a team environment.

Accountable for keeping project tracker up to date and approving invoices if the project lead

Anticipates client expectations and ensures they overdeliver through execution and deliverables
Proactively manages client needs without client or Senior Management prompting
Actively problem solves to overcome challenges and develops win/win solutions for client and the company
Ensures timely communication with clients

Effectively manages the backroom
Discussion Guide Development
Ability to deconstruct a client need into the required knowledge areas to pursue and develop client-ready discussion guides
Leverages, interprets and integrates existing projective techniques and can develop new ones when needed
Sells guide rationale to clients and can apply judgment for when to push back on client feedback
Moderation
Ability to moderate across all methods and respondent types
Ability to adapt in the moment and be present in the interview
Ability to be strategic and not depend on discussion guides
Ability to procure deep insights and knows when to probe in strategically rich areas
Debrief Writing
Manages the debrief writing process, including brainstorm meetings, on time
Leverages Strategic Oversight (SO) as required
Visualizes concepts or insights in an impactful way
With direction, creates a clear, tight and persuasive story
Elevates all debriefs with strategic thought

  10+ years experience in qualitative market research work
  Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Power Point and
Word
  Valid passport
Must be eligible to work in North America
Some travel required for project work
  Fluent in written and verbal English
Fluency in a second language is an asset -
particularly French, Spanish, German, Mandarin, Japanese
  Hybrid work structure - remote and in-office.
