Description
Senior Account Director, USA
Company Overview
The client is a fast-growing, multi-award-winning, Insight Agency.
Following a successful entry into the US market in 2019, thanks to rapid expansion, we are actively looking to expand our team of Senior Account Directors.
Our unique multi-method approach to capture what consumers do, feel, think, and want allows us to rapidly transform consumer behavior, opinion, and creativity into recommendations that help our clients build better brands.
We work on an ongoing basis with some of the world's most respected companies – including Procter and Gamble, Unilever, SC Johnson, Pepsico, Nestle, Newell Brands, Logitech, Salesforce, Novartis, GSK, and many more.
In both 2020 and 2021 we have been recognized in the Greenbook GRIT report as one of the world's most innovative Market Research Strategic Consultancies. We were also nominated for more QUIRKS awards than any other agency, globally last year.
This is a very exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Director looking to get in on the ground floor, make a difference, work in an entrepreneurial, fun and fast-paced environment and help us continue to rapidly develop our business.
Role Overview
This role is a combination of hunter and farmer, with an emphasis on the task of driving new business.
You will both lead a portfolio of a selection of our strategic clients, to continue to foster the great relationship we have built with them, and be expected to expand into new clients. We have excellent processes and support models to help you do this.

As part of your role you will:
- Grow our business, building trust, and strengthening relationships with our existing and new clients
- You will be responsible for revenue performance and growth through KPI delivery
- Actively seek new clients through your network portfolio to continually grow our current client base
- Ensuring new business hit and win rates are measurable with personal and company KPI’s
- Create and execute the strategic growth plan for existing and potential clients
- Plan for and lead client pitches (existing business and prospective/new clients)
- Support the Commercial Director in executing the strategic growth plan across our portfolio of clients. You’ll help to develop and capitalize on existing client business
- Develop strong partnerships with your clients by demonstrating a detailed understanding of their business, brand, industry, and how our services should be applied to bring their commercial ambitions to life
- Motivate the team to create compelling strategic stories that lead to actionable recommendations that build brands, establishing thought leadership for your clients, helping them to challenge their industry standards and stay ahead of their competition
- Champion professionalism and rigor across the agency, ensuring that your team delivers consistently and with excellence. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and resolve service issues promptly.
- Actively promote our values, and contribute to the growth and health of the team and the business.
- Attend industry and key events; represent the client, ensuring efficient lead generation
Professional Requirements
The ideal candidate has demonstrable client management experience (at least 7 years) and has a good network of large consumer-facing companies (most likely in FMCG). The person will also meet most or all of the following requirements:
- A proven track record of managing and growing key accounts, particularly in FMCG
- A proven track record of surpassing revenue targets
- A true passion and ability for selling.
- Drive and tenacity to directly outreach to new and potential clients to enhance new business growth
- A strong understanding of the world of consumer insight, market research and marketing strategy, having sold to Market Research and Insight professionals and clearly understand what makes them tick and their frustrations

The client is about identifying strategic recommendations that builds businesses, not just about delivering data
- A track record of converting clients to new ways of thinking and breaking away from their status quo
- Excellent team player, happy to not work in a defined ‘box’ but support broadly and willingly for the overall success of the company
- An ability to sell services and consultancy-based products
And you will be human! We are very proud of what we are trying to achieve. But this should be fun and exciting. We all have lots of other things going on outside of work. We are very honest, not afraid to say when we have got something wrong, recognize and celebrate when we have done something well and we don’t really like big egos. We try to look out for each other, support each other and grab the occasional drink when we can.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
