Position Title: Sample Automation Sales Engineer
Location: Wilton, CT

A strategic focus is the DIY market research sampling segment. Simply put, this allows market research professionals to price, launch and monitor digital research projects themselves.
Our self-service platform is a global force in this fast-growing market segment. We are seeking a sales engineer who will be responsible for transitioning clients to use this DIY platform, which is available through the web based platform or as a fully-featured API.
Reporting to VP-level in the sales organization, this is a pivotal role with potential for development for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who:
- Wants to be a strategic member of the sales team, responsible for identifying new sales opportunities for the DIY sample platform and transitioning existing clients to the platform
- Is responsible for building the DIY sample platform sales pipeline and generating revenue
- Can manage multiple customer calls and web presentations on a daily basis

- Experience in helping clients adopt new technologies or approaches
- Active prospecting, nurturing and pipeline building using tools like Salesforce.com
- Willingness to deliver demonstrations and presentations over web/phone
- An ability to develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services, relevant industry trends, and competition
- 2+ years sales and/or account management experience at a SaaS or Enterprise Software company
- You are a strong listener and customer advocate
- You have a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Sales or a similar discipline
- A background in Market Research and specifically panel/sample is valued
Responsibilities:
- Call on existing customers and new prospects which include market research firms, advertising/PR/media agencies, corporate clients, small businesses and other organizations in North America
- Advocate the benefits of moving to the automated sampling platform (which include but are not limited to operational efficiency, quality with time and cost savings)
- Understand supply chain management in the market research industry
- Utilize all available resources, both offline and online, to hunt out new opportunities as well as missed opportunities within the existing client base
- Be versed in the DIY sampling platform in terms of demonstration and operational process.
- Work with the respective sales representatives to assure a coordinated effort with each account, where needed
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems/complaints in conjunction with the DIY sample platform Support Team
- Keep abreast of products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends
- Maintain records of all calls, leads, follow ups and opportunities using Salesforce.com
- Complete all calls and follow-up calls in a timely manner to assure maximum results are obtained
