Overview of Role and Responsibilities
This position is within our Strategic Market Research group.
Title: Market Research Consultant.
The location will eventually be our Boston office (Cambridge or Waltham), Washington D.C. office (Maryland suburbs), or possibly virtual for some time for the right candidate.
You will:
- Be part of a team of industry-leading experts and interacting with a diverse group of clients while contributing to the development of custom solutions to address their most critical business issues
- Continue to develop an expertise in strategic market research skills as well as enhance/elevate your capabilities and confidence as a true BioPharma/Healthcare consultant
- Toggle between market research projects and contributing to pure consulting engagements, with the opportunity to eventually working more exclusively where there is “best fit”
- Be mentored directly by Partners who have decades of experience and are well-known across the industry
- Have access to a variety of professional improvement opportunities: Project-based mentoring with at least 1-2 Partners on every engagement, and Formal in-house training on Problem-Solving, Consulting Frameworks, etc.
- Be exposed to a wide variety of business issues, such as: new product assessments, strategy planning, launch preparation, commercialization issues, and business development.

Ideal Candidate
An ideal candidate for this position will meet/exceed the following specific descriptions (In order of importance – Items #1-5 are essential and non-negotiable):
- Talented background in the development of reports and presentations; including superior content, organization, and creativity
- Elite PowerPoint skills and the demonstrated ability to develop visually engaging slides which communicate a clear story from complex data
- Extensive experience in the creation of sophisticated screener/questionnaire instruments (e.g. Segmentation, Demand Modeling, Market Landscape, etc.)
- Proficiency in overall project management, with a proven track record of proactive responsibility for mapping the strategic plan and required details of the engagement
- Ability to enhance data with strategic frameworks, compelling insights, and actionable implications
- Experience in qualitative moderating and interviewing
- Attention to exacting data details and excellent proofreading skills
- History of participation and contribution in the development of proposals
- Comfortable navigating market intelligence platforms and publicly available sources of information to capture insights and integrate best-available evidence
- Working knowledge of Excel to be hands-on with the data, when necessary.
Basic Qualifications
- College Graduate (Advanced degrees and/or life sciences background are a plus)
- 5+ years of full-time experience delivering strategic market research in the healthcare industries
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively in a dynamic, team-based environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Analytical and energetic approach to solving complex problems
- Special consideration will be given to those with existing clients and business opportunities
