POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title:  Director, Client Development

Major Purpose of the Position:

Responsible for the sale of the company products and services to existing and inactive clients, with an annual revenue of up to $3,000,000.  Will fully manage the daily activities/relationship of an approved level of designated accounts.  Will make significant contributions to the marketing research plans for assigned accounts.  Responsible for fully managing the daily activities and relationship of clients. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  •        Developing business from inactive clients, as well as expanding business from the individual’s existing client base.
  •        Responsible for sales of company services/products to clients.

Ÿ  Must be perceived by the client as an expert in understanding their research needs.

  •        Uncover new business opportunities within client base.
  •        Develop & help maintain client relationships by conducting regular proactive contact campaigns to generate business.
  •        Provide smooth transition of accounts to the sales support staff through effective internal communications and proper client profile documentation.
  •        Educating potential clients about online marketing research and the company.
  •        Making sales presentations, write proposals and provide bids to clients.
  •        Designing the appropriate research projects to address the marketing issues raised by clients.
  •        Keeping a pulse of the progress of projects and follow up with clients in an effort to develop ongoing relationships and repeat business.

Minimum Qualifications Requirements:

Ÿ  5 years of sales and account management experience with a background in market research a plus.

Ÿ  Past achievement in new and expanded client business generation.

Ÿ  Demonstrated ability to actively manage multiple tasks and work within a team environment

Ÿ  Must be a goal oriented, persuasive , self motivated and independent worker

Ÿ  Must be able to work well under pressure and be efficient in meeting deadlines.

Ÿ  Strong knowledge of marketing, research and related subjects

Ÿ  Must be willing to travel

Ÿ  Bachelor’s degree or successful completion of college level business and marketing classes preferred
