Business Development Specialist

Join our dynamic team as a business development specialist responsible for cultivating relationships that lead to new business with our prospects and select existing clients. The client facilitates market research projects worldwide. Help expand our services to new countries and organizations that we want to reach by building an understanding of client needs and tying that to the services we provide that can help clients achieve their goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Contacting prospects and clients to promote and explain our services and to meet new business development targets

 

  • Maintaining regular ongoing and energized contact with client account principals to keep our services top of mind at all times

 

  • Running demos of our capabilities and services to interested prospects and current clients

 

  • Working with internal Account Managers to develop project proposals and estimates

 

  • Following through on bringing projects to fruition

 

  • Coordinating with the Delivery Team for project execution

 

  • Representing the client at industry trade shows, including set up and break down of booth displays

 

  • Staying abreast of the services available in the marketing research environment to understand other marketplace options available to clients and prospects

 

  • Be a positive advocate for the causes and culture of the company

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Sales experience, in products, services or in a retail environment

 

  • A persuasive personality that communicates with confidence

 

  • Ability to communicate on the phone and in web meetings

 

  • Experience in the use of digital communication platforms for personal use, business, or both

 

  • Aptitude for comparative analysis of the strengths of various web platforms that are used to hold global meetings

 

  • Capability to demonstrate online administrative tools that provide data results to clients

 

  • Personal drive to set and meet goals, and to achieve targets

 

  • Professional demeanor suitable for interacting inside a sophisticated corporate environment

 

  • Empathy for others, a collaborative working style, and a team player mentality

 

  • College degree or equivalent

 

  • Experience in the market research industry may be a plus.

 

We can locate this position in our Greenwich, CT/Port Chester, NY Operations Center, in our Carlsbad, CA office, or in Kansas City, MO, Pittsburgh, PA, London, UK, or elsewhere in the United States where the person would work remotely but be available for travel to our Operations Center 4-6 times per year.
