Account Director – US Sales Team (New York)

The client partners with clients looking for consumer insights in Asia through marketing research. We’re continuously growing our team of professionals to ensure our clients receive best in class marketing research solutions for the Asian market. Our US team supports the largest single market with consecutive years of historic sales growth. As such, we’re looking to have an experienced Account Director to join our US Sales team to further strengthen our growth momentum.
The Account Director will lead a team of account managers, responsible for managing relationships with key client accounts, identifying client’s online data collection needs and figuring out best solutions to exceed them. As part of the Sales team, the Account Director will drive revenue and profitability through strategic account planning, successful pitches and quotations, driven by proactive client communication.

Key roles:

Design and execute strategic account plans for existing key client accounts
Cultivate a strong, long-lasting relationship of trust and respect with client leads
Manage client budgets and help forecast future growth from key accounts
Be a strong manager and mentor to the account management team
Collaborate with business development lead to help cultivate client accounts
Partner with operations team to identify growth opportunities with key accounts
Liaise with internal teams and external partners to deliver successful pitches and quotes

Qualifications:

8-10 years of relevant account management experience in online market research
Account management experience with direct responsibility of account planning & growth
3-5 years of experience of managing team with direct reports
Proven record of taking ownership of your work, not being afraid to take risks and challenges
Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
Proactive, open minded and self-motivated learner
Passionate to work in multicultural environment

Other Info:
Work Hours: 9:00-18:00, Monday to Friday
Compensation: Commensurate to work experience
Job type: Full time exempt with 3-month introductory period
Location: New York, NY
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays
