Description
- Creating and updating technical documentation related to packages and processes.
- Creating sequencing guides and documentations required for deploying the applications.
- Support of the application packages, including problem diagnosis, resolution and reporting via the Central Helpdesk.
- Migration of AppV packages from AppV 4.6 to 5.1.
- Creating and managing of new packages.
- Assuring functionality and support for users in production
- Migrating applications from Windows 7 to Windows 10
- Providing Quality Assurance and support for the team
- Active Directory and Group PolicyWorking in an Software Packaging role for standardised and ‘locked down’ environments.
- Visual Basic Scripting and PowerShell scripting for use in MSI Packages custom actions and APP-V scripting.
- Updating and creating reports for a Roll Out Database
- Assisting users in productions with different issues related to our application packages
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor + minimum 9 years of experience
- Expertise in creation, maintenance, documentation, distribution, reporting and communication related with application packages.
- Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating systems family (Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) and related tools,
- Good knowledge of Microsoft installation technologies (MSI) and related tools (e.g. InstallShield),
- Good knowledge of common Microsoft scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, VBscript)
- Good knowledge of software distribution tools (e.g. LANDesk and SCCM)
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office products family (Office 2010, 2016 and 365) and of EC supported browsers (Internet Explorer 11, EDGE, Chrome and FireFox)
- Knowledge of managing application parameters using policies (local policies, GPOs)
- Knowledge of SharePoint administration is considered an asset
- Certification of ITIL for service delivery and service support is considered an asset.
