Account Executive

Business Development – Chicago, IL

Our client enables brands to connect and speak directly with consumers around the globe and in real-time. At our core, we’re a technology company with a mission to democratize the multi-billion dollar market research industry. Funded by Unilever Ventures and other private investors, we are bringing the traditional, long, and arduous process of conducting market research into the digital age through our online video conferencing platform. Today, they are powering consumer connection and empathy programs at many of the world's leading brands, including Unilever, Godrej, Danone, Nestle, and SCA, among others.

The client is looking for Account Executives to develop and execute the strategy to drive sales. Account executives are responsible for new business and growing revenue within our existing accounts. You will be communicating our value proposition with customers, explaining how we enhance their operations, acting as a problem-solver/customer advocate, and build long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Development and ownership of the sales strategy

  • Meet and exceed direct sales goals

  • Public evangelism of the methodology via conference attendance and events

  • Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales potential with the ability to move a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline

  • Manage all aspects of the sales process, including following up on lead generation, qualification, evaluation, close and account management

  • Provide product demonstrations to prospects

  • Coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle, including product support and sales engineering

  • Work with Marketing to help with references and customer testimonials

  • Contribute to product enhancement and new product development process

Qualifications

  • Experienced. You have at least 3-5 years of direct sales experience. Show us a track record of success. Ideal past experience is selling qualitative research solutions.

  • Amazing Salesperson. You have a desire, even an obsession, to bring/expand customers and maximize revenue. You have the ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline with a proven track record of handling and closing large deals.

  • Go-Getter. Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful.

  • Innovator. Appreciation of social media, analytics.

  • Evangelist. You “get it” and understand the client's mission deeply. You believe we will become one of the most important technology companies in the qualitative research market, you want to be a leader of a winning sales team, and you want to have fun all along the way.

  • Domain. Experience with technical sales. Bachelor’s Degree with a technical or business focus preferred.  Experience selling online qualitative research a major plus.
